Recent researches show that talents are preferring to join or leave organizations based on the work style they follow. There has been a massive shift during the pandemic towards hybrid work style that is work few days from home, few days from office. What will be the future preference?

In Information Technology, more than 75% people prefer hybrid working style. Whereas remaining 25% are happy to go back, as they missed their office experience. Younger employees from 21 to 31 years age group also prefer for hybrid working style.

"It is boring to keep staring at a computer screen the entire day. We are missing out on face-to-face interactions. I miss the tea breaks with my friends and all those endless discussions," says Divya, who is moving from her home town to Chennai.

Best way is to choose the right work model according to the nature of the business you do. Second, get feedback from employees and try to make it flexible. 100% Work from office may not be the future, hybrid working style will be the majority employee’s choice.

Test Your Emotion

Status of the leader is the status of the team. First, test your own emotional state of being. You can support the team members only when you are able to manage your own emotions. Take time and regulate your behaviour in a healthy way. Manage and overcome your anger, fear or worries. When you are healthy, you are ready to support your team.

Listen to them

Listening is a powerful medicine that can help tremendously in many possible ways. You shall listen to find the root cause of the problem. Enable the team to acknowledge and accept the reality. Team can acknowledge the present situation and get ready to face the reality. Understand their expectations and help them to find the way.

Action Speaks louder than words

Act on it, rather than spending too much time talking about any problems. Be with the team and help them to find different alternative ways. Share the view point which they are missing it right now. Enable them to look at the possible outcome and act on it.

A word of Motivation

Nothing can match a word of motivation during the difficult times. It is okay to fail, it is not okay to give up. Encourage the team members to stand up and give them credit for trying than being still with excuses. Motivation strengthens people and develop confidence to face the reality.

The global population is going to be eight billion soon. Since 1975, the population has increased by one billion people every 11 to 12 years. More people require more facilities, more food and shelter. China, India and United States are most populated countries in the world.

Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and major cities have more people than the rest of the places in India. Urbanization creates overpopulation and scarcity of resources. The quality of life goes down when the place is overpopulated.

There is an enough space and resources for the 8 billion People in the planet. It is so happening that few cities are over populated like Beijing, Paris, London, New York, Delhi. Overpopulation and industrializations lead to environmental challenges. Air pollution is one of the major threats for lives.

Governments have responsibility to foresee and plan for future in order to avoid overpopulation only in few cities while we are trying to touch 8 billion people mark in the planet. May be, it is time to turn back to villages and also create more new cities.
